The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) Australia has announced the launch of a new category of membership to cater to what is expected to be a surge in start-ups in the industry.

Called LaunchPad, the membership is designed to equip new businesses with a full gamut of information across all aspects of building and growing a recruitment business.

APSCo has partnered with industry suppliers and mentors to deliver a specially designed toolkit, which is comprised of resources including templates, checklists and guides to help recruitment start-ups facing the challenges of navigating financial, legal, regulatory and lead generation needs, all while trying to develop best practice principles.

Resources and support services available in the toolkit follow a practical roadmap, from planning a business, building the business, managing the business, maintaining business standards and generating business growth.

“We’re currently seeing a spike in recruitment start-ups and expect this will continue throughout 2021 and beyond,” says Lesley Horsburgh, Managing Director.

“It’s inevitable after a year like 2020 that we will see movement in this sector. Some people have realised after lengthy periods of working from home that the possibility of starting a new venture is possible, others have been forced to rethink the future, while some are taking advantage of the strong demand for talent.”

“Workforce growth, particularly in contract and white-collar roles, presents a perfect climate for start-ups to enter the market.”

LaunchPad membership with APSCo Australia is available to any professional staffing or recruitment business with an ABN registered in the last 18 months and is available with a maximum term of 2 consecutive years of membership.
