APSCo + Recite Me: Helping Members create inclusive experiences online

Authored By Carly Fordred

As the conversation around Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging continues to grow among employers and the recruitment industry, here at APSCo we intend to make 2022 the year that we bring greater resources and information across EDI&B to our Members, playing our part in driving a more inclusive workforce in Australia.

To kick things off we are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Recite Me a cloud-based web accessibility assistive toolbar solution that allows website visitors to customise a site in a way that works best for them.

Over the next 12 months, Members will receive access to resources, guides, articles and webinars from the team at Recite Me on inclusive recruitment, and learn more about the barriers that many face when trying to read and understand content online.

We have chosen to install Recite Me's web accessibility assistive toolbar to assist Members and visitors customise the way they use our website. The toolbar enables users to select various font types, sizes, colour themes, visual aides, languages, plus a variety of other features.

If you would like to see the toolbar in action, please visit the APSCo Australia website. The toolbar can be launched via the red Accessibility Tool button at the top of the page.

Please join us in welcoming Recite Me to APSCo Australia. Together, we're looking forward to bringing greater awareness to online inclusivity.
